Apple Hints That ipad 3 Might Be Released March – April 2012

Finally Apple has fired the first shot in the latest tablet computer war – announcing the date on which it is widely speculated the iPad 3 will go on sale.

The American company has scheduled a press conference in San Francisco for 7 March  which has got the tech world and gadget fans buzzing.

While the invite doesn’t mention the iPad 3 by name, it has a picture of what looks like part of a thinner version of the best-selling device and the words “We have something you really have to see. And touch.”

This release is expected to be Apple’s most eagerly-awaited launch to date.

With last year’s launch of the iPad 2 seen by experts as just a stop-gap release, it is hoped by many loyal fans of the brand that the iPad 3 will have a bigger screen and faster processor, further demonstrating its dominance of the tablet computer.

The announcement will be the first big reveal from the company since Apple mastermind Steve Jobs passed away in October and comes two years since the original iPad hit the streets.

Should it be launched next week, deliveries of the iPad 3 would be expected to be in US & UK stores within weeks.

There is always a leaking point in a big company like Apple although the person spilling the beans cannot possibly be named. Instead of silencing the rumors, such leaked information usually adds fuel to the existing words of mouth. Hence experts sure enough that the world will still have to wait for months to get the exciting new features of the latest generation of the Apple’s tablet. However, from the unnamed leaker as well as hints from the people associated with Apple, experts can have a prediction worthy of their time as release dates seem to be imminent.

The prediction goes that the latest Apple’s tablet is going to be equipped with a dual processor and that should be Apple’s A5 because the product in the other line, the iphone 5, is surely going to use this processor. There is no difference with the previous generation in this sector so that consumers can expect the integration of the same PowerVR SGX543MP2 graphics. The much debated A6 processor should wait until 2012 if the latest tablet generation is indeed to be launched this year, what about the flash player, the rumours say ipad 3 will have flash player features.

The latest tablet can be expected to include the Retina Display which so far is available only in iPhone 4. One thing that experts sure of is that Apple is interested in Near Field Communication and so the latest tablet should include an NFC chip. Such a chip will enable a user to process data on a Mac through a command from an iPhone 5. Greater storage is expected to reach up to 128G option while the Thunderbolt port in the 2011 MacBook Pro can be included too. If the September 2011 of the iPad 3 release date is correct.

iPad 3 Released Soon?

The rumour mill is now awash with thoughts on what to expect from the iPad 3 – and whether it will even be called that.

Back in October it was widely felt Apple were set to announce an iPhone 5, but instead it opted for the halfway house option of an iPhone 4S, bridging the gap between biennial major hardware releases.

It has been widely mooted that the device will have the same sort of high resolution retina display as the latest iPhone range. This would give it a high quality viewing experience in a wide range of lighting conditions.

Some rumours claim the resolution of the iPad 3 could even be better than some high-definition TVs and an improved screen has been top of the wishlist of current iPad owners for months along with faster processing speeds.

That itself should be catered for by the inclusion of a powerful quad-core processor, that will likely then be rolled out into the iPhone 5.

Both of these improvements would need to lead to an increase in battery life, up from the current flagship standard of 10 hours. However, any larger battery will need to be squeezed in without enlarging its slim shape.

There is even the possibility of Siri voice control as found on the iPhone 4S. This advanced vocal recognition software allows users to control functions with spoken commands.

And while some pundits predict there will also be a smaller screen version released at the same time, announcing two models at the same time would be contrary to Apple’s usual strategy.

It is much more likely that the iPad 3′s display will be enlarged to fill out as much of its front as possible, removing the bottom-centred Home button and relocating the camera from the top centre.

Other obvious functions to be improved would include the rear camera. This again could ape the iPhone 4S by having a high quality eight megapixel camera.

Near Field Communication is another interesting area. So far Apple is yet to include NFC on its flagship handset product with the iPhone 5 expected to rectify that.

But could the new iPad be the first Apple device to feature this wireless technology, enabling data transfer and mobile payments? NFC could then be used to easily and quickly share data between an iPad and an NFC-enabled MacBook, with a refresh of the MacBook range also imminent.

Retailers are now expected to responded to tonight’s announcement by slashing the cost of the iPad 2 while Apple may follow the pricing path with the iPad 2 it chose when unwrapping the iPhone 4S in October. Back then it reduced the cost of the iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS to stimulate the number of devices in the market with some networks offering the latter for free on a new contract.

iPad Has Everything, But Let’s Look At Some Features That iPad’s Don’t Have

Technology that’s revolutionary, unique, and breakthrough?such are the adjectives that were attached to the iPad as it was launched by Apple early this year.

Its launch was arguably graced with one the most massive marketing concepts since the iPhone. Apple has a way of making grandiose statements about their products that result to great commercial interest. Sure, there exists a considerable gap between the positive and negative feedback, but these only fuels up the interest that is surrounding the latest Apple ingenue.

A lot has been said about the iPad’s features and performance. iPad detractors have belittled its purported presence in the industry. Most of the comments belie on the gadget’s lack of special qualities to actually take over one of the more popular devices today.

It cannot take over the iPod Touch primarily because of the difference in size. The main selling point of the iPod Touch is its handiness. For a relatively miniature piece, the iPod Touch can store so much files and deliver outstanding performance. It can play movies, videos, music, and games. In addition to that, an iPod Touch can connect to the Internet through wireless technology. It is practically the best amongst the slew of music players that came our way.

It cannot take over the iPhone or any smartphone in existence. The iPad does not support SMS, which is an inherent characteristic of a mobile phone. Moreover, it cannot perform the most important mobile feature: voice calls and its advanced sister, video calls. It cannot make video calls mainly because it does not have an integrated camera. It has a detachable camera that is sold separately as an accessory. It sounds fussy, definitely not the kind of device you would like to tote every day.

The iPad cannot take over the ominous laptops, whatever brand is in question. A laptop is heavy duty; its clamshell design protects the screen. It has a keyboard and a mouse and provides various input and output channels such as USB ports, flash drives, memory card slot, CD-ROM and HDMI socket. A laptop is a one-stop device that will enable you to accomplish your tasks in one sitting. Most importantly, a laptop is designed to support multitasking by allowing the user to open and run more than two programs at once.

Although it does have a case, which again, is sold separately. The iPad case is dual purpose; aside from protecting the display screen, it also serves as an iPad stand. A keyboard dock accessory is also available for those who prefer the convenience of typing away in an actual, physical keyboard.

For sure, a lot of iPad supplements will be introduced in the future, like an external hard drive or a mouse. In a practical sense, would anyone really want a gadget that offers the same features as the existing gadget already does? Not to mention the existing gadgets that have all the features tucked in without the need to purchase one accessory after the other.
